THE FIRST EVER DOWNTOWN CARLISLE CHRYSLER PARADE!
The Carlisle Chrysler Nationals
is less than a month out (July 11-13) at the Carlisle PA Fairgrounds. Chrysler CEO Chris Feuell shared that a special brand display will be featured this year at the event and better yet, Feuell herself is also scheduled to make an appearance on Friday, July 11. That’s right, the CEO of
an OEM has confirmed her appearance for the largest-all Mopar themed car show in the world! As if this great news isn’t enough, Carlisle Events, in partnership with the Downtown Carlisle Association (DCA), is excited to share that on Saturday, July 12 at 7PM, the cars will cruise into the community for the
first-ever Chrysler parade. In addition to the DCA, the parade is being supported by the Walter P. Chrysler Club, whose members will be at Carlisle in droves to celebrate their namesake car. The Chrysler brand is celebrating 100 years with a grand display of cars, memorabilia, non-automotive Chrysler
machines like a Sherman Tank, and even special guests — including Frank Rhodes, great-grandson of Walter P. Chrysler himself. The parade will see vehicles depart from a staging area near the Carlisle Expo Center, cruise at a parade pace on North Pitt Street to the intersection of
Pitt and West High Street. From there, vehicles will turn left onto High and proceed toward the square, continuing just beyond to East High and Bedford Street. At this point — in true parade form, and unlike the Park and Party events held in June and August — the parade will disperse. While the cars won’t park, it’s still a fantastic opportunity for Chrysler guests to enjoy downtown Carlisle, shop its variety of businesses, grab a bite to eat, enjoy a drink and converge to celebrate the hobby and the cars that populate the Carlisle
Chrysler Nationals! For those who have previously registered for the Showfield, you can still register for the downtown Carlisle Chrysler parade by contacting the Carlisle Events office at (717)243-7855. New parade registrants must be registered for the Chrysler Showfield prior to registering for the parade. Parade registration fee is $15 and is open to all brands under the Chrysler umbrella, including Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Imperial, AMC, DeSoto, Jeep, RAM, Fargo, SRT and more! |
