{Chrysler 300} Pre 65 turquoise engine paint

Well, starting another early turquoise engine paint thread.
Lost my head gaskets and reverse, so out comes the motor and trans for a rebuild after 93K and sitting indoors for 40 years.

I have recently tried three different turquoise engine paints, none of these are really for the pre 65 engines.

A fellow tells on one of the MOPAR Forum posts that he had years of - back in the day - painting experience and that the early MOPAR, pre 1965 turquoise was a visible match in all lighting to the 1962 Chrysler Bermuda Turquoise pictured in the attached picture.

He also stated that he was told by a MOPAR engineer that the factory used acrylic enamel on the engines in the '60's. Can anyone confirm this?

The original paint on my engine seems burned in (acrylic enamel?) and sludge stained, now more a dark greenish shade of turquoise. And not matching the newer, blueish tints.

I do remember as a very young lad a bit surprised that the engine in my uncle's 1963 Chrysler station wagon (displacement unknown) had a brighter than normal engine color very close to this, not the blueish colors sold today for MOPAR turquoise. I joked with my Dad as to why anybody would paint an engine baby blue! To my eye then.

I see many state on the MOPAR Forums that the now obsolete MOPAR engine paint PH4120752 was a match to the early shade. Has anyone used this paint in the past?

Nobody is happy with the current offerings for pre 65 colors which all claim matches "MOPAR turquoise". None of them match each other!
