Re: {Chrysler 300} B-a-T Sale Today

Probably a hard color to paint right and it is hard to photograph consistently. Kind of like the Panther Pink Charger I had. Comparing it to original paint chips would be the way to go.

Either way, the flipper got a nice payday on that one.

A friend has a Dubonet '61 New Yorker wagon project car that he needs to get restored. I actually prefer the Newport wagon trim over the New Yorker.

BTW, there's a '60 New Yorker wagon for sale on Craigslist. It was originally Executive Grey with red vinyl interior. I looked at it in 2020 during covid and have pictures I took from then. They want a lot for it and it doesn't have an engine or trans. But I've only found about 50 1960 Chrysler wagons including New Yorkers and Windsors.

This NYer coupe was advertised for sale on another site a week ago - asking $89,000.

Comparing this NYer's Dubonnet shade, it looks reasonably close, possiblly a bit more red - to the Dubonnet '61 Newport wagon, photos attached, that I saw in July '19 in Sweden at the Power Big Meet. Hard to tell, comparing Dubonnet in different light.

The same car just went through the McCormick Classic Car auction in California, Lot 259, a couple weeks ago. It sold for $53,000 ($50,000 plus 6% commission) to a dealer who flipped it.

The car was advertised as Dubonet in color. Others know more than I but wasn't John Hertog's 1961 Newport stick shift car Dubonet? John's car seemed to have more pink/ purple as I remember. This car seems to have more of a strawberry red.
