We would love to send you an article on our 300J but since we took possession it has been an ongoing work under progress. In a nut shell, there were and still are numerous problems with it that need correction. The 413 engine turned out to be junk, cracked/broken rings, scarred cylinder walls. Transmission not shifting until it warmed up. I could do a litany on how much was wrong with the car. Luckily the heads and valve train were correct, they are out for a total re-build.

Thankfully, through the intervention of fellow club member Mike Meyers, we have purchased a good looking 300K short block from him, which will be installed within the next few months after it is rebuilt along with the 727.

Our goal is to have it back in the street by the end of May. We just repainted the engine compartment and will work on brakes next. New carpeting has arrived, after searching through about 20 samples, that is the correct match.

Going forward it is the typical matter of time and money. I was hoping to have better news but things are what they are. Hope you get a great article, I might be able to provide an improved up date in the future. Thanks for all you do!
