Re: {Chrysler 300} Cold start

spray ether is a real go to , but be careful ( “ starting fluid spray “) it can backfire . have extinguisher nearby .
Tiny chance of trouble if directions are followed , spray into carb while  not cranking it   .  a second or two
is about right , but need to be aware

check  chokes work . They will be closed ,,easy to flood .. if flooded during try , prop open with clothes pin or wood stick etc

Thank you to all who took the time to help me out! My intent is in the spring to install an electric fuel pump. In the meantime, like today, is there a right way or a wrong way to help get it started up? Thanks again

Not only do you need to make sure your chokes are sufficiently closed when they snap shut as you prime the carbs with the gas pedal (if there is any gas in your float bowls), you also have to make sure your choke pull-off is adjusted properly so that upon start up you don't just flood the engine with too rich a mixture once the engine does catch.  Vacuum created once the engine catches has to be enough to pull open the chokes a bit to let enough air in so you still have a needed rich mixture, but not closed off from all air trying to get down the throat of the carbs.  Manual has the specs on how far the choke should open when pull off is adjusted properly.

So I live in minnesota. I store my Plymouth Fury and my 300g in a 50° heated garage. I have not started my 300 since november. It is always been a very rough cold starter. Any advice for the process or steps to get a most efficient cold start? Thanks in advance for your tips
