RE: {Chrysler 300} Tired window

Well for a1963-1964 300:

I would pull out the entire assembly and then:

  1. Clean it very well and examine the die-cast gearbox where the motor connects for any sign of cracking.
  2. Open the gearbox, clean it out and add some grease.
  3. Get the leather washers from Bob.
  4. Grease the scissors arm pivot points.
  5. Grease the large ring gear.
  6. Put it all back in.
  7. Use my solution, see old posts, and add a clamp with bracket to the bottom of the motor to starve off the gearbox cracking problem.

About to dig in to my passenger front window. 1963. Window struggles to come up sometime and sometime goes right up. It seems to be slipping when it doesn’t work, moving a little stopping then moving a little more.Anything I should know before I start?
Thanks once again
