I got my AM radio back from Gary Tayman with the Aurora Conversion and installed it. I also installed a Retro Manufacturing PA-02 Electric Antenna and two Dual voice Coil 6x9 speakers.
One in the left rear and one in the dash. The thing sounds much better than the factory radio. The ability to talk on the cell phone hands free will come in handy as well. The nice thing is that looks just like a stock
AM radio. The only “tell” will be the small microphone sitting under the top of the dash. The antenna worked out nice, but I am dubious of their quality over the long haul. Time will tell. I did come up with a combination of the parts in the box that allow me to do
the installation using an exactly 14MM hole. Much smaller than the one inch hole for the factory unit. You can see how it looks in the attached photo.
