Re: {Chrysler 300} 1962 Inline Transmission Filter

What’s the Dacron Filter & where does it screw in for a 1962 Torqueflight?

I realize I removed the external one on our Sport some years ago.
I still run one on our NY Wagon and will plan to run one when I reassemble our 300H.

I see 2 different part numbers for the Brayco Filter:
33243 and 33242
Don’t know if one or the other makes a difference as they look the same.

Thanks!

Also, unless going for concours details, you could forego this filter completely, as far as I know.  The Dacron filter normally used say in 1964 will screw right into the bottom of the 62 727 once you drop the pan.  Maybe Don V has an opinion on use (or not) of the inline filter, and whether any mods (like an extension tube) should be used with the Dacron filter.

Until you get a filter, you could make a pipe the length of the filter and put it inline until you get one.

I can’t find that filter.

What are we all doing for our cars in this filters location?
Eliminating it altogether?
Using a different filter that maybe uses rubber hose attachments (like the fuel filter)?

Thanks

Does anyone produce the inline Transmission Filter that lives within the Transmission Oil Cooler Line?
And I mean the factory style with the threads at either end.
Thanks
