No, I’m pretty sure Charlie was joking. His name is Crooks. For 2400, I was expecting perfection. What he sent me was less than perfect. While his molds are excellent, the blue color match was noticeably off (1959 Dodge). I furnished him with paint chips to match, as he requested. Also, the translucent top and bottom sections were opaque instead. His 100 shipping charge was outrageous. When I returned it and requested my money back, which was an option he offered when I mentioned my dissatisfaction, he wouldn’t respond to either my emails or voicemail that I left him. I’ve visited with Dennis when he had a display at the January Scottsdale B-J Auctions many years ago. Dennis restored my F wheel in ‘01 - $1,000 cost back then by the previous owner of my F Now you’re pushing $2,500 or so. Still looks fabulous / 85,000 miles later. He’s the most expensive of all the restorers. I suggest you visit the forward look archives site and read thru the mimm multitude of our listserver emails shared on this topic over the past 15+ years. Don’t expect a quick turnaround. --
