Body panels and pieces are not the same as the body panels today….you cant expect to just unbolt and bolt on panels because the old pieces varied quite a bit in size and shape and the door is a box…you cant fudge it like you can the front fender. Door fitup is complex. The door wants to be flush with the other panels and even in its opening. The window has to roll up and down easily and be even with the quarter window (ask John Grady). The door has to open and close smoothly, especially the driver-side door. If you had all those things before you had your “contra-temp you should keep them by fixing, if you can, the door in place. In my opinion.

Hi Charlie,
Sorry to hear your car was damaged, but glad you’re okay. Are you sure your door can’t be fixed by a good body person? Any 61 Chrysler 2-door coupe from a Newport, Windsor or New Yorker will fit. Likely your donor door won’t have power windows. Doors aren’t easy to ship. Where are you located? I am not generally looking to sell parts, but probably have a door for your repair if you need it to get your car back on the road. You can email me directly.
Thanks,

This email is from an external source.
HELP, I need Somebody.....HELP, Not just anybody.
HELP, You know I need someone .... HELP
I need Help finding a Drivers side door and fender, in excellent condition, for a 1961 Chrysler 2 Door Hardtop.
Preferably for a 300G but for the Door, if I am correct, the door from a 2 Door HARDTOP Newport, Windsor or New Yorker should fit. You just have to fill in some trim holes.
If you have spares that you are willing to let go or know of someone that has them, please let me know their contact information.
I did email Murray Park this morning and so far have not received a reply. It's the weekend , so I will call Murray on Monday.
Yesterday at 4:50 PM a woman went through a stop sign and hit me in the drivers side door and the fender. She did say that she was sorry. No one got hurt. Naturally I was LIVID but I handled the situation pretty good. Looks like minor damage to the rear quarter behind the door. The rocker seems to be okay.
I did call my Hagerty insurance agent and left a message.
I am trying to get a head start on finding the parts.
Thanks for your time and with any Help that you may give for helping me get these parts.
