I replied to the wrong email with this solution. Replying here to keep it together.

With the help of Don Verity I learned that the 300J and ram 300K have a different set up on the power steering return hose as seen in the attached pictures from Don.

What threw me off was a black 300J on Bob Merritt's site that showed the 300F/G power steering hose return fitting on it. I don't know if it was a production change or not.

I'll have to go through the various pipes I got with the car to see if that one I need was included in it.

The parts books doesn't list the part separately from the valve and the 1963-64 books don't even show it being different for the ram cars. But here's a picture of one from a 300F, which is the same as what I need for my K.
