Re: {Chrysler 300} John Holst 300K

Just a thought, but considering the geography, perhaps someone could actually take the K to the meet in Omaha, so it could be seen by all.  I'm not sure of the distance but having driven back and forth to Colorado over the years, I'm pretty sure that Omaha is still just across the river from Iowa.  Again, just a thought.

Hello,

Unfortunately I missed the Club List Server message that John Holst had passed away in Oct 23 as a result of a car accident.  As part of Club Meet support work I call members in the region of the meet to invite them to attend and that is when I learned about John’s passing from his wife Marilyn.

John was a very helpful connection to the Chrysler 300 Inc Club to post our International Club meet announcements on their website, but I only knew John through our email exchanges and of course from all his helpful work with service and parts manuals.

Marilyn did say she would like to sell John’s 300 K (just owned by John and his Dad) but she would appreciate some help in doing that.  Marilyn had been trying but had no luck in connecting with Rich Barber.  I called Carl Bilter and Carl’s suggestion to post this information to our List Server seemed like the best approach.

If there would be a way for someone to visit with Marilyn and get full information on the 300K it might work that attendees to the September Omaha Meet could see the car and of course I mentioned to Marilyn we would find a way to advertise the car on our Club website.

Marilyn’s cell phone is 515-570-3390 and her email is holstm@xxxxxxx

Carl had some additional helpful thoughts he may want to share but we both felt our Club should do all we can to help Marilyn.

Best,

Carlton Schroeder
