RE: {Chrysler 300} A/C 300K

I just checked with American Coil in LA. They decided to stop making custom condensers for car applications about 4 years ago..

I found this however: https://www.oldairproducts.com/product/condenser-superkool-16-x-21-x-1-overall-11-1621

It is hard to measure in the car with the center support brace in place. Perhaps if it not too hard to access Rich can measure his spare for me.

I cam up with 21.25 inches wide and 16.5 inches tall and 1.24 inches thick.

The Old Air unit above is VERY close to that.

Hi All,

I drove south of San Francisco to shop that has the tools and knowhow to deal with the old A/C on my car.

The evacuated it and put a charge in it and it blew cold air. That is the good news.

The bad news is that the condenser has a pin hole leak. Also, the coil on the magnetic clutch started to smoke some. So, I need a new clutch even though I rebuilt mine and the Ohm values showed it as good and within spec.

The big deal is where to find a place that can build a new condenser that will fit into the 300K.

Anyone out there had a custom condenser built in the last couple of years?

Thanks, James
