It's the little know shown here. Or a slowed screw in same location. Set with antenna fully extended.

The former owner added a rear antenna and the radio seems as though it needs a trimmer adjustment. No white noise static anywhere but in the middle of the dial I get a full throated Christian evangelical minister, so I think it works, unless it's just divine intervention. 

 

Can the trimmer be adjusted in the car, with me under the radio? Where is that trimmer?
