If any gasoline slops onto the tarpaper, the tar will be dissolved out and make a mess. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Rich B. From: chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx <chrysler-300-club-international@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> On Behalf Of Henry Schleimer Looking for suggestions as to what to put between the gas tank and the floor of the trunk. I saw on one generic website that original type tar paper is now replaced by a thin rubber sheet. Hopefully something I can get from a hardware store or the like. I would like to ensure there is no chance of promoting rusting of the tank or floor.
