Thanks, guys, for the thoughts. As far as I can tell from the master parts books and the service manual, the clips are held in place with some pan head screws in the middle of the clips.
The seal completely covers the screws. No way to get at it… …but… I am wondering if the screw heads is accessible on the bottom clips from BELOW the window seal if I pilled the package tray out. That may be a long shot, however. Given that good, molded seals do not really exist and my window appears to be water tight…I am loath to pull the glass. I may end up just pumping in a lot of 3M window setting tar into the slit and press the thing in and see how it goes. It took effort to get it out even with the clips not really doing anything on along the bottom. The side and top clips
are all fine. The only other thought was to get some new clips, clean out some spots for them and cut the clips and embed them in some epoxy between the body and the rubber. James. From: Michael Van der veen <michaelvanderveen8@xxxxxxxxx>
I know Maybe it's that oursis a clean install. I can get them out with no sealer on
there.id say you might need to either pull the screen or do some scraping to see the screws. Mike On Sun, Jul 2, 2023, 9:21 AM James Douglas <jdd@xxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
