Agreed, Hank. The car I bought for my future wife (before I knew she would become my wife) was more like the parts car in this ad. It was a $300 Sport in Turquoise w/383 2bbl single exhaust. It ran great, but a car that had been in the northeast for quite some time and had holes in the floor, trunk, and rear quarters. A little backyard bondo/fiberglass job, a conversion to 4bbl and dual exhaust, a rattle can paint job in Chrysler turquoise engine enamel, 'new' carpets from a nice Caddy in a junkyard, and she fell in love with it, named it Bubbles for the Astradome dash, and drove it for 10 years before the rust got to be too nasty to continue repairing, so it was replaced by a 62 NYer wagon from Wyoming, which she used for another 10+ years. As I said to a friend after seeing the ad, "Oh, to be young again." That H is better than at least half a dozen cars I brought home to fix up over the years. I'd just clean it up, detail the engine bay, get some carpets for the interior and trunk, and have a blast. Pretty sure if I was still 38 instead of 68, those cars would be on their way to my house already.
