I was fairly upset but kept myself cool on the outside. What fries my butt is that we were going to just paint the roof and the trunk lid and wet sand lightly the rest of the body and then polish everything out. The factory white pin stripes are great. The roof and trunk have natural places one can make the paint “break”. Since we must paint the door, I will lose the factory pin strip and even an excellent hand job on replacements stripes never will look like that machine roller tool
that the factory used. So, instead of a conservation of a 93K mile original paint job, I may have to do a full re-paint to get a consistent look over the entire car.
