Hi Larry, I agree that John Cote’s former 300 C Convertible is gorgeous. I love the Gauguin Red. Hemmings Classic Car made a misprint, on page 31, they said regarding Specifications: the valvetrain is Hydraulic lifters, which should say Mechanical valve lifers, but they did say on page 26 the racing version had Solid lifters referring to the three- speed manual transmission.
