You can get a length of power steering
return hose
from NAPA or any local auto parts store. I think it is 5/8" diameter. It is much stiffer than heater hose. You will find installation of the new hose extremely difficult at the steering box connection. New hose will not want to slip over the connection, almost as if it was the wrong size. If you carefully heat the new hose (with a hair dryer) it will add some flex to the material and make install a bit easier.
