{Chrysler 300} Sound Deadeners

May I ask for input on sound deadening product comparisons and methods tried in the past on our 300's?

 

I bought along with new carpets some EVA pre cut pads from ACC thinking they were the adhesive style, and find that they are just mats to be laid in the car.

 

Dynamat is the top method I assume, but its it worth the time, effort and cost to really quiet and cool the interior down compared to the lay in mats? My K is black on black with factory AC.
