Re: [Chrysler300] 55 chrysler 300 front end alignment

Less toe required for radial
Tires because of less drag pulling wheels apart.
Bias tires have more drag requiring more toe.

From the AMA Consolidated Spec Questionnaire, dated 2-15-55 (“C-300 added”):

Caster: Minus 2 degrees to 0 degrees, with 0 degrees preferred for cars with power steering

Camber: ¼ degree, plus/minus 3/8 degrees, preferred: left side +1/2 degree, right side 0 degrees

Toe In: 0 to 1/16 inches, 0 preferred

As been pointed out by others, these values are for cars with diagonal tires. Running radials would give some slightly other values, but a competent shop should be able to interpolate those from the stock values?

Hi

I am going to take my 55 to the local alignment shop. Does anyone have a source for or  the alignment procedure and specs.?

I told the manager I would try to get them. It's not in my manual except for a procedure using chrysler fixtures and no caster, camber, or toe specs.

Thank You

Dan
