William, I mounted American Classics on my F this past Spring, and have put 4,000 miles on them since then. Running at the 35 psi, as recommended in their website.
Car rides a little softer than on the 6-ply Diamondbacks that I ran before that - about 50,000 miles over 9 years before replacing them. Had an issue with the whitewalls “de-vulcanizing” - James at Diamondback told me that’s because I should have been running them at 44 psi, instead of the 38 psi I had in them. American Classics’ manufacture process, in applying the whitewall during the build, is entirely different from Diamondback’s vulcanizing whitewalls onto the already manufactured Vredsteins, so shouldn’t have the same problem. One caveat that I’ve followed in cleaning the whitewalls is found on Diamondback’s website - do not use a cleaner containing bleach, such as Bleche White.. So I’ve been using Simple Green with plastic scouring pad backing on the sponges I buy at the local grocery store or Target.
