A few years ago I visited the local Finishmaster shop in my hometown hoping for assistance in getting an accurate match for the original Platinum white paint for my '55. After searching through quite a bit of literature in the local store the manager submitted information to the manufacturer for additional assistance. On the following day I received a phone call from the store manager and she indicated that a response had been received and the results were that a single stage urethane paint formula used by Isuzu is a "close match". I took a chance with that and I'm very pleased. I've had numerous comments regarding the color as a great reproduction of the original. My personal opinion is that it likely falls within the original batch variations of color as applied at the factory. >From the label on my paint can: NASON FUL-THANE 2K URETHANE Isuzu 83-84 Code 849 Color Navajo White/Misty White I also have suggestions for attractive colors for the gold and the silver, but neither of those is an attempt to duplicate the original colors and both are more glossy finishes. I'm happy to share the details with anyone interested. I can send photos of paint can labels to your email address. ------------Marshall Goodknight 3N552650 '55 Chrysler 300 Please note: message attached From: "Mathias Breitbach mfbreit@xxxxxxxxx [Chrysler300]" <Chrysler300-noreply@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [Chrysler300] 55 Chrysler 300 Paint formula for Platinum White Date: Mon, 19 Aug 2019 21:08:15 -0500 ____________________________________________________________ Sad News For Meghan Markle And Prince Harry track.volutrk.com http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL3131/5d5c1d9aa61a61d9a1764st01duc [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Posted by: "mgoodknight@xxxxxxxx" <mgoodknight@xxxxxxxx> ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/all/manage/edit For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylang ------------------------------------ Yahoo Groups Links <*> To visit your group on the web, go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/ <*> Your email settings: Individual Email | Traditional <*> To change settings online go to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join (Yahoo!
