If you need to help the motor lift the glass, it sounds like it may be time to pull the interior panels and lube all the window operating mechanisms and channels. I just had that done over the last couple of days at the body shop on my manual side glass because they were getting to be difficult to raise and lower, and I figured that must be hard on the moving parts as well. I had them use the (newly discovered to me) lube product called Fluid Film on everything inside there, and had them lube the door latch parts with it while they were in there.
The body shop guys say they are pretty amazed at how well the Fluid Film product works. Knowing it won't dry out is the real plus. Advance Auto was able to order a rattle can in for me. Whatever you do, don't use white lithium grease as it will harden into concrete over the years and jamb things up.
