Gloria,   Here in "The Not So Golden State (aka California)" we are paying $3.59 for regular and $3.89 for 91 octane ethanol fortified (read *#!x:) gas.  As you may well know,  the old Detroit Iron that we all love doesn't tolerate the ethanol.   Jay Leno has an excellent article on the subject.

Have a good friend that has access to 110 octane aviation fuel.  Soon as the "Swiss C Rag" is back from the heart doctor,  plan on losing some tire tread.
