Now, that’s interesting. I attached a picture of our red K and the server stripped it. No surprise. But when Mike Moore responded to me and the server, he included an embedded picture of his H and that picture came through.

So I’ll send this message with an embedded/inserted picture to the server, only. The car is still a resto in progress and sans top. It is wearing its new shoes—P215/75R14 Hankook’s. If you get this with an embedded picture directly below my name, we’ll all know how to do it. Good to know.

Thanks for the feedback. The H and K live about 80 miles apart with the low coast range of mountains between. Close inspection will indicate vestigial fins grew back after their shearing in 1962. After 1964 they were never again to appear on 300’s.

I’m in your corner Mark. Before you wrote I thought I was going nuts.

Maybe it's just my computer, but the picture I got looks exactly like a white 300H to me.

I believe you can send pictures to an individual, just not to the server. If you attach pictures and send to both, the individual and the club server, the pictures will go through to the individual but not to the server. To test this, I’m attaching a picture of our ’64 300K convertible. Mike & Doug: please confirm this theory by letting me know whether or not you receive the picture.

Hi Mike,

I believe that I have some H restoration pictures that show the clip locations.

Oh - I forgot, I can't attach pictures.

Will send you a separate e-mail.

This morning I removed the "rattly" and loose sill molding from the drivers side of my 300H..

I had previously purchase a set of 10 clips for both sides.

On my loose drivers side, there are only 4 molding clips installed. It looks like the missing one is up front very close to the front screw.

(1.) Does a clip go that close? There are no holes there as that area had extensive rust repair many years ago and it wasn't drilled I guess.

(2.) What is the proper way to install the stainless molding once the clips are in place?

(a.) Slide the molding in front the front and risk paint damage

(b.) Somehow lift up and snap in?

Thanks, Mike Moore
