Hello, Van:
There is no vacuum connect to the transmission. Based on my previous experience with Ks (360 hp.), you may have a blown gasket (head, cylinder, etc.), broken compression rings or scored cylinder walls. Also, you may have a burned valve if your K idles roughly (re my '66 Newport wagon). Suggest you perform a cylinder compression test. This may help point you in the right direction. Again, this is what I experienced with the Ks and the Newport wagon I once owned (blown head gasket, broken compression ring and burned valve)..
Best,
Ron Kurtz

Subject: [Chrysler300] Question about 1964 auto transmission
Hi,
Is there any engine vacuum connection( vacuum modulator e.g.) to the auto transmission in a 1964 300k? Reason for asking is that my 300 runs, idles fine until I put in gear then is runs like crap, vacuum drops5 to 7 points. And it stay that way even while driving on the road. Any insight out there?
Thanks all,
Van
