Hello. I replaced the starter on my 57 300C with one from this swedish company. You have probably companies in US having the same starters. Now the car starts every time hot or cold. It does not look like the old starter, it’s smaller. The only negative thing about it is that it sounds like a toyota starting up. :) I’m no longer stuck at gasstations any more, waiting for the engine to cool down. http://www.x-parts.se/Shop/Index.php?sLang=LangEng Oddvin 300C In Norway From: Lindsey Fuller Sent: Wednesday, July 24, 2013 8:01 PM To: Listserver Chrysler Club Subject: [Chrysler300] '59 starting motor issues Car starts fine when cold, turns over quickly. Barely, or doesn't turn over fast enough when hot. I have upgraded the relay to starter cable to #2 wire. 413 has perhaps 1000 miles on it since rebuild. Starting motor has less than that as I put in a rebuilt about 400 miles in. Terminals all clean & tight. Aside from pulling the starter out and having it gone through, anyone have any other ideas? A friend suggested a cole-hersee relay might help, but I have my doubts.
