Hi all:
I am running a blend in my F. It is called FRIGC FR-12. If you search
the internet you can find it. In my opinion, it cools every bit as good as
R-12 and does not have the toxic qualities of R-134a. It is about half
R-134a and the rest is made up of some other gases. All you need to do to
prepare your system is to add a couple of ounces of ester oil. Uses the same
equipment as R-12. No flushing necessary.

Hi all - has anyone with a 1961 or earlier air conditioned Mopar had any
experience running R134 in the early '57 to '61 compressors? I've been told
they can only run on R12.
R12 is illegal and unavailable in Canada. (Consistent with the left wing
leanings of our governments, the fines for possessing R12 are higher than
the fines for possessing crack cocaine........)
I run R134 without any problem in my '66 Charger, so the new '66 300
should be OK too. The concern is with the earlier A/C unit in my 300F.
