The Boss, Jo Ann calls our "L", Bear. This name was applied back when we lived by the water near Annapolis, MD. 
Now we live in a log cabin in the woods in very rural western Arkansas, so it's even more approperate.
Now if only Bear would wake up from her 15 year hibernation....

Our Hurst is called "Old Girl" much for the same reasons as Kristine states below...
And, the "Old Girl" has been woke up!
