Ron and all,
I bought a small multimeter from Radio Shack for about $15. When I checked voltage on my 6 volt 37 Studebaker it was reading very high, 18 or 20 volts as I remember. With my 50 year old analog meter it read, still high, but closer to 9 or 10 volts. The digital worked fine on my G, but the battery is away from the distributor and alternator on the G. I had to hold the meter closer to the distributor and generator on the Studebaker due to very short leads on the meter. I also had a problem recently with reading AC volts very high when the battery was failing without warning. Read over 300 volts on 240v water heater. I advise getting a meter with long leads and a low battery warning.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Multi-meter Purchase
Hi Gang -
I have a gift card from Radio Shack that I want to use to purchase a
Multi-meter. I'm looking for a nice basic one that I can use for my vintage
car projects. Can anyone recommend one ? I'd prefer digital over analog.
Also, are the Radio Shack ones any good, or should I look elsewhere, like
Sears/Craftsman ?
Ron
