I believe they would go in the under dash box as that is the temperature they respond to. For sure on 59 and 60.

Hello, everyone:

On a 64 Chrysler, where does the coiled copper tube on the temperature control 
valve go, inside the heater box under the dash or in the box that's mounted to 
the fire wall in the engine compartment? It's been a few years since I removed 
it. Any help would be appreciated.
