The caps will NOT interchange with the '57 being a bit smaller.  To my knowledge all 1955-56 Chryslers and DeSotos do interchange.  I just tried all of these on my cars stored in our building.  
 
Imperials for 1955-56 are much smaller.  This is because of their limited access within (1955) or below (1956) locations.  These are the same cap that was used on Crosley vehicles in 1946.  I know this for a fact as I have a close friend that owns one.

Hello to all from Rochester, MN

I just trailered home my winter project,   a 300B.      First thing I did was lose the gas cap.

Car came out of some long term storage so be prepared for many questions as I'm new to the 300s.

Question is,  will the 1957 gas cap work?    I think the '57 gas cap might be available through Stant, but no 56 listed.   Are the caps the same for all Chryslers, 56 and 57?
