My wife Christie told me to advise all of you that I watch the "Red Green Show" and he uses Duct Tape to fix anything.

I may be WAY off base on this one, but my first thought is to remove the visor from the rod. Wrap the rod with a single wrap of duct tape. This should increase the diameter a bit and also provide a bit more friction to hold the visor in place. If it doesn't work it is a simple fix to remove the tape.
