Many thanks to all of you who responded to my query about George Laurie.  I had never before encountered 
him or his lens service.  I'm still trying to re-establish contact with him, still with hopes of acquiring the delta set up.
I also need to replace some weathered lenses on my 55 and have finally learned of a source.
