[Chrysler300] a/c ducts on a 300F

Hi to everybody.
My 300F has a/c. 
I'm looking for some feedback regarding the color of the 4 pivoting ducts on the top of the dash. As far as I can tell, my dash was still wearing it's original paint when I got the car. The color of my ducts look more of a dark charcoal color than right out black like the rest of the dash top. Is this correct? Or has the  sun faded the  black paint on the"pot metal " ducts to this charcoal color? Wondering if I should repaint the ducts black to match the dash frame or paint the ducts charcoal??
