I have heard from numerous posts on different blogs that the WIX filters are
one of the best quality automotive and truck filters you can buy.  I won't
mention the filter brand that is NOT the one to buy.

Ted - Yes - they are by WIX (my bad) - and for the 413 it is part number
1515. I switched to these many years ago after several people
recommended them as very good quality filters. The black paint to me was
just a nice bonus.

Just passing along something I found out last oil change. The Napa Gold
filters (made by Hastings I believe) are the same black as the factory
engine paint one on my '61. All I had to do was peel of the sticker and
it looked like it came from the factory.
