    I am very sorry to say that Anne and I will not be  making the Carmel 
meet after all.  We are not happy about this at  all.  The K is not finished 
and will not be for some time (hopefully by  Carlisle) and I have to have a 
cataract removed, which will no doubt cause  temporary vision problems.  We 
thought about driving out in  Anne's 300C but, all things considered, we 
should probably skip the  trip.  I know you all will have a great time, and I 
really wish we could  have joined you but it doesn't seem to be in the cards.
 
    Now, we have a room reserved at the  hotel, and if there is a way for 
someone who was locked out of a  reservation to take over ours, just let me 
know.  I will approach  Larry on this question but if any of you need a room, 
you might ask him as  well.  Absent hearing from someone, I will cancel the 
reservation, but not  until the last week in May, so you have until then.
 
    Again, our regrets, and you all have a great meet.
