It would seem to me that under normal driving, the old style oil filter, would flow to its maximum capable volume which is more likely the product of the oil pump in the first place. BUT, what it also, does mean is that all of the oil is filtered and cleaned. You should not get more pressure or flow, just cleaner oil. As a side you may need to change the filter in between oil changes because, "IT" the filter, may get more dirty and clogged with sludge.....sooner!?
(just my 2cents worth of advice) Why do oil filters or their receptacles have by pass valves??? Anyone know if this would affect the above scenario.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Oiling ball Check & bypass valve
Hot heads sells a full flow oil block that sends all the oil through the oil filter
for use with late model oil filters & adapters
Does anybody know if you can use the oil block with the original style filter
Will the original style filter be able to flow enough oil if it is all diverted through the filter?
Thanks
