[Chrysler300] Thermo stops and starts

My 1933 Chrysler CO6 did exactly the same thing. After I bored a 1/8 inch
hole in the flat bottom, it never did it again.
The thread reminded me of my long distance trip in 1964 to Utah with my
newly purchased 300F. It was running hot so my army buds and I stopped at a
tiny Chrysler dealer in Nowhere, Nevada. The one car showroom dealer admitted
to never having seen a ram engine in his life. When I asked him if he
would remove the thermostat he checked his flat rate manual and said it would
take 2 plus hours as he had to remove the a/c compressor to get at the
devise and said I would have to pay his shop rate for 2.something hours. Asked
how much per hour, he said $3.50. Eight dollars later the job was done
and we forged on with no change in the heat guage.
