[Chrysler300] From the Terminator's State

I am terminating my efforts to obtain five-gang terminal blocks from Pollak.
As indicated below, they suggested circumcision and reperforation of their
six-gang unit.

 

The e-Bay vendor indicated his sales of five-gang units were reproductions,
so it appears someone is or was reproducing them.  

 

I'd like to define the years these five-gang terminal blocks were used on
MoPars.  My 1955 has one and my parts book shows the same part number for
'55-'58, all MoPars.  Please let me know if your newer or older MoPars have
this same five-gang unit.  And, if later MoPars had terminal blocks with
more or less than five gangs.

 

I have ordered a six gang unit and will attempt to modify it as suggested by
Dave Schwandt and Pollak.

The best I can say is to buy the 6 gang and drill a hole.

You would have an extra stud if needed for an option.

The market exists for hundreds of these if they can be made in five-gang
configuration with 4.5" between the mounting holes. These would be used to
replace deteriorated or damaged units on all Chrysler Corp automobiles from
the 1940's to the 1960's and later. They were typicall mounted on the
radiator support panel and used to connect headlight and parking light
wiring to the main distribution loom wiring. It is likely that Pollak may
have been an original supplier of these blocks to Chrysler and that the dies
and tooling for the five gang unit still exist. Please advise if these units
are available or if they can be made available on special order. Thank you
