The hospitality room goodies are paid for by the registration money of those attending. 
Frankly, even if the Club did spend lots of money on the meets, they are held twice a years for the members to get together and enjoy cars and folks.
If'n ya come, enjoy, if'n ya don't, we'll still enjoy. It's just better with more good people and friends.
The Club money is spent on many other things and, yes, this sounds like a good project.
