[Chrysler300] Today's fuel

This has all been good concerning fuel pumps and fuel. I too use an inline
electric fuel pump on my '74 snow plow truck. If it has been a while since
it last ran, the carb is empty. I turn on the electric pump, wait for the
carb to fill, and then turn it off. The mechanical pump then pumps right
through the electric one.
I am pleased that the carb goes dry. From working on small engines, I have
learned the following: this new fuel eats aluminum, and it eats brass!!! In
a two year period, I replaced three brass floats that had holes eaten
through them!
If I pull an oil dipstick and it shows overfull, I smell it to determine if
there is gasoline mixed in.
