Matt,

 

Don't you mean the element from the lighter assembly?  The ashtray contains
the socket.  Anyway, the element should just screw off the bottom of the
lighter, the socket has a nut around the back side of the socket that also
screws off..

1. Remove the red power wire
2. ???
(300 Sport, not H interior)
