Louis. My survivor H was tuned to factory (service manual) settings. I didn't do it, but the mechanic told me. I use pump premium and it runs fine. I think my carbs need rebuilding, since it does seem to run a bit rich (which the mechanic said that was the best he could do). But all in all for 123K miles, it runs good.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Timing is Everything!
Weekend discussion topic:
For all F, G and H owners - What is the consensus for optimum timing for our
413's? I am running a +13 degrees using Racing Gas (101 octane) and Big
Yellow runs great and purrs like a kitten! The trade off is that gas is
about $6.80 per gallon. Sure, that's a lot of money, but with annual mileage
of about 1500 total, it's tolerable.
I have run timing as low as +5 degrees, but Big Yellow was not happy, and
still would ping somewhat, especially when warm.
What say you fine folks?
