I went out and checked my '65 "L" and there is no decal. I've owned the car for 36 years of it's 45 years and am the 3rd owner. I'm sure it never had one as all the other decals under the hood and such are there.
I also checked my '66 300 convert and no decal. Both are factory air cars.
