You may want to check your battery cable size. A lot of replacement
cables these days are going to #4 gauge, and that can't carry the great
amount of amps you need for a hot start. I talked to Jim at Adema's
Starter and Alternator Service and he said he's not aware of any correct
copper-wound starter being either light or heavy duty.
Adema is in Coopersville, MI, and if you want to go for a workover on
your starter they get about $125 - 200 to rebuild/restore. They did a
great job on my generator, and my starter will go there shortly. I
highly recommend them. You can check out their website which is
