I don't have any specifics, but recall seeing adhesive-backed foil wrapped
insulating padding designed primarily for floors and firewalls. I'd suggest
checking with local body shop supply houses. You will want something that
will stick to the Rustoleum and not come unglued after a few years exposure
to heat. Body shop supply houses have all sorts of 3M stickum in tubes and
spray cans. Don't breathe the fumes.
I assume the inside of the roof was bare steel?
How do the new and old material patterns/colors compare? If you have a good
chunk of the original, I'd like to purchase enough to recover my visors.
They have rust stains I have not been able to remove, even with acid.
For no good reason, I bought a set of the wire headliner supports for a
'55-'56 coupe. They have color-coded ends to identify their place in the
roof. Let me know if you need to replace any of yours.

Subject: [Chrysler300] Head Liner
Am installing a new head liner in my B, bought from Gary Goers. Have the old
one out - what a mess. The pad above is a paper ground rag insulation
package - two pieces. Of course they came out in pieces.
My plan is to paint the metal with Rustolium. My question is what type of
insulating material should I use ?
Thinking about a foam material held in place by adhesive. Suggestions ??????
