My wife and I take three standard poodles (50-65 lbs) three or four times a week to the dog park in our  '65 "L".  But then it goes to the mall, Vons, Wal*Mart, etc. on a daily basis. We also drove to the last two Phoenix  meets with our dogs in the car. 
We love our car and dogs.
